About this property

Welcome to Best Western Kensington Olympia Hotel

Best Western Kensington Olympia Hotel offers budget accommodation set within a Victorian-era townhouse in a residential area of West Kensington. Guests will find simple, clean rooms that, while small as expected in London, provide the essentials for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning and daily housekeeping. Complimentary Wi-Fi and hot drinks add convenience, though limited amenities such as no on-site parking, no pool, and no fitness center are noted.

The hotel’s location is practical for visitors interested in nearby attractions and events. It is close to Olympia London, known for festivals and fairs, with easy access to public transport via West Kensington Station, a short walk away. Popular destinations such as the Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Science Museum are within reach, making it suitable for travelers keen on cultural experiences and sightseeing.

Guest reviews highlight courteous and attentive staff who contribute positively to the experience, often noted for their helpfulness and kindness. While the compact room sizes receive consistent mention, the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations are generally appreciated. Some guests value the quiet, safe neighborhood, though the hotel’s facilities are straightforward with paid breakfast availability rather than inclusive meals.

This property suits budget-conscious travelers, solo visitors, and small groups looking for convenient access to London's west side without the premium price, especially those who prioritize location and service over extensive hotel amenities. Families traveling with children are accommodated, but the absence of accessible rooms and pet-friendliness may limit options for some.

We stayed for 3 nights whilst enjoying sightseeing and shows in London. The hotel is close to West Kensington Station, which is convenient for travelling into London or out in the Wimbledon direction. Although our room was small (as expected, as we had read the reviews!) it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was good and I appreciated the nice soap and hair products provided. The room was serviced daily and each day we had clean towels. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each morning. Again, as mentioned on previous reviews, all the staff we met at the hotel were friendly and pleasant.

I stayed for 2 nights for a short trip in London, and booked a standard room. Room was small but it was clean (important). I arrived early and was greeted by the front desk lady, Chitra. She was cheerful and courteous as she assisted me to check in. She was also helpful and provided some useful information on places of interests in London. The hotel is near West Kensington station and has many eateries nearby. There is also nearby supermarket to buy some daily needs. Overall, this is suitable for travelers as the place is easily accessible.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and clean. They were a bit small, but it’s completely understandable given that it’s London. The location of the hotel was also very convenient as there was easy access to public transport in the surrounding area. The nearest Underground station was about a 10 minute walk. What truly made our stay special was the staff. They were all very polite and attentive. Irfan especially made every effort to ensure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. He truly went out of his way to meet our needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay when visiting London!

I went to London for my graduation with my parents. The graduation was in South Kensington, so this hotel in West Kensington was a perfect location to avoid being right in the middle of the busy area around my university. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. I felt safe staying there, as it was in a quiet area. It also felt safe since you need the hotel card to open the entrance, doors inside the hotel, and operate the lift. The hotel itself and the rooms were bright and clean, and had all the necessities you need. Short walk to the West Kensington station for circle and district line, as well as Kensington (Olympia) for trains. Also close to a supermarket in the same street, as well as a big Tesco a short walk away.

The location might seem a bit far from the city center, but the tube is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you directly to Westminster. The breakfast is fine, though nothing special. The rooms are small, but that’s quite common in London. They are clean and equipped with everything you need. Overall, we had a very good stay, and the service was excellent.

I stayed at this hotel for three weeks. As someone who rarely travels alone, I was initially anxious, but the staff welcomed me warmly and took great care of me throughout my stay. The room was small, but considering UK prices and the fact that the hotel is located in a very safe area, it was understandable. The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room. However, there’s a nearby supermarket open late, and I was able to order essentials via Uber even in the early hours, so it wasn’t a major issue during my long stay. Reception and housekeeping staff were exceptionally kind and always willing to help whenever I needed assistance. Their support made me feel much safer and more at ease. Despite the hotel’s small size, it felt cozy rather than inconvenient—thanks to the staff’s thoughtful efforts. If I return to the UK, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Kensington Olympia Hotel in London for a weekend getaway two weeks ago, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in the city. While the room was on the smaller side (as is typical for London), it was beautifully modern, recently refurbished, and spotlessly clean — very comfortable and cozy. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every single member of the team was absolutely lovely, kind, and incredibly accommodating. As a Coeliac, I usually avoid booking breakfast at hotels because it’s often difficult for places to cater to gluten-free needs. When I mentioned I’d be happy even with just a slice of bread or a biscuit, I didn’t expect much — I completely understand how hard it can be for hotels to manage dietary restrictions. But to my absolute surprise, the team went above and beyond for me. They had done a special shop and provided me with sealed gluten-free bread, a whole pack of biscuits, and individual butter and jam portions so I could enjoy a safe breakfast sandwich — along with a lovely cup of tea. It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture that truly touched me. Traveling as a Coeliac can often feel isolating, but this experience made me feel so seen and cared for. I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness and effort the staff put into making my stay so enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. It’s a gem — and the team there made it unforgettable.

The hotel has been renovated in September 2024, so I wouldn't really consider the reviews before that. My stay was great (3nights). I travelled for pleasure and I didn't need breakfast so I can only review a room I used from 19-20h onwards. Clean room, clean sheets, clean moquette, clean walls, clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. No noise at all. Small toilet, but functional. Towels are changed every single day. 5min walk to West Kesington station and 15 to Earl's Court. Maybe, only maybe, I missed a small fridge that you sometimes find in some hotels. But that's all. I must say that I've stayed at 4 star hotels that have been much much worse. The best thing of all has been the staff in the hotel. You are greeted every day with smiles and open hearts, and that means the world in a busy city, even if on holidays. Helpful, kind and efficient. Will come back should I travel to London.
